Hi, we’re Ash and Fiona – the hands and hearts behind Forage & Clay, a creative collaboration born right here in Rangiora, New Zealand.

Our paths crossed only twice before a spark of an idea took root — to bring together two crafts, two passions, and one shared vision: creating beauty from nature, whether it’s in bloom or in clay. From that moment, we’ve never looked back.

Ash is the soul behind The Forage, where every floral arrangement is crafted with love, care, and a touch of nature’s magic. Her journey began with a single floral workshop that blossomed into a deep passion for showcasing locally grown blooms. When she’s not surrounded by petals, Ash is a dedicated teacher and mum, inspired daily by her little ones and the joy of meaningful connection.

Fiona is the maker behind Ceramics by Fiona, shaping small-batch, functional tableware from her studio in Waikuku, North Canterbury. Her love for clay began at her mother’s kitchen table on rainy days — moments of simple creativity that grew into a lifelong calling. After leaving the corporate world, Fiona embraced the slow, grounding rhythm of life behind the pottery wheel, creating pieces that celebrate colour, character, and craftsmanship.

Together, Forage & Clay is a celebration of nature, creativity, and community. Our shop is filled with blooms and handmade ceramics that tell stories of connection — to the earth, to our craft, and to the people who bring it all to life.

From vibrant bouquets and bespoke floral art to handcrafted pottery made with muddy hands and full hearts, everything we create starts with love — and grows from there.
